Can I show a movie in class?
Answer
The TEACH act allows you to show an entire movie in a face to face class as long as it supports the curriculum, and a "reasonable and limited portion" of a movie in an online class.
Please see the copyright guide for more information about public performance rights and the TEACH act.
In addition, the library provides multiple media databases where you can find videos including feature films. If there is a movie you would like your class to watch, contact the library and we may be able to get access to it.
