Answer
Use the persistent search box to search by barcode number.
- Choose “Physical items + barcode.”
- The physical item displays the following fields:
- Title, barcode number, update date, library that owns the book, due date, call number, status (tell you if the item is in place or in transit), item policy and material type.
- Other details at the bottom displays important fields such as, number of loans and last return date of the item.
- There is an edit item button and request item button as well.
- Clicking on the “Edit Item” button will take you to the “Physical Item Editor.”
- To add a note to the item record click on the “Notes” tab in the “Physical Item Editor.” You can place a note in the “Fulfillment note” (for circulation purposes) and click on the save button.
To check the history of an item, click on the “History” tab and select “Item changes.” “Item changes” displays the process type and what was done to the item. It also gives you the operator that made the change.
- Selecting the “Fulfillment activities,” under the “History” tab, displays a list of circulation transactions (circulation log). The “Fulfillment activities” also shows the Operator’s name that checked the item(s) out and returned the item(s).
