How to Change Item Barcode in Alma

Changing the barcode number is usually done when the barcode is missing from the item.
- To search for the item by barcode or title in Alma using the persistent search box
- Select Physical Items + Barcode.
- You can search by Title or Barcode.
- The item information will display.
- Click the Edit Item button to add or change item information.
- Locate the Barcode number in the physical item editor
- Scan or enter the new barcode number in the Barcode field.
- Hit enter or click the Save button.
