Creating a course
In Alma, click on Fulfillment on the menu bar and go to Course reserves. Click on courses.

Click on + Add Course

Enter course information.
- Course code should be the official TCC class code.
- Section should be the campus CH, NO, PO, VB. If there are multiples of the same course at one campus with different books on reserve you can add a number (CH, CH2, CH3, etc.)
- Go to Academic Department and select Campus.
- Go to Processing Department and select Tidewater CC Course Reserves
- Choose start and end dates. The course will automatically go active when it within those dates. Due to load times reserves in Alma will not show up in Primo until the next day. When the course is inactive it cannot be searched in Primo.

Add an instructor to the course by clicking on the instructor tab and then + add Instructor. Search for the instructor(s) by name. Select the faculty/staff account and NOT the public library account or a student with the same name. Students will be able to search by instructor name in Primo.

When you have entered all the information, click Save. The course will be added to the list.
