How to Renew User’s Loans

Answer

  1. From the home screen, select “Fulfillment” and “Manage Patron Services.”
  2. Type or scan the patron’s card number or enter their name in the “Scan patron’s ID or search for patron” field.
    • Hit “Go” button or Enter. 
  3. The patron services screen appears. The patron should have a list of the current loans.
    • Either check the box next to each loan you want to renew and click “Renew Selected,” or click “Renew All” (to renew all items).
    • After renewing items, click on the “Done” button to end session.

WHEN THE ITEM(S) GET RENEWED, THE PATRON WILL RECEIVE A “BORROWING ACTIVITY LETTER” VIA EMAIL. IF YOU DO NOT CLICK ON THE DONE BUTTON, PATRONS WILL NOT RECEIVE A LETTER.

Additional information on renewing items

  • Patrons can renew item(s) up until the due date.
  • One renewal is allowed.
  • Renewals are not allowed if there is a hold or overdue.
    • A staff member can renew items that are overdue (but not advisable if the items are long overdue or if the patron has been billed). 
  • Reserves are not renewable.
